The Helping Hands Adoption Mediation Agency
The H.H.A.M.A. was set up in 2005 to help mediate Inter Country Adoption. They are a not-for-profit body and are licensed by the Irish Adoption Authority and the Vietnamese Government.
They operate in 'the best interest of the child'.
They draw on international best practice and conform to the Hague Convention.
HHAMA provide support before, during and after adoption.
They work with families across the country to ensure that each family receives as much guidance and support during the process as necessary. They assist with document preparation, provide foreign country cultural education, pre-travel preparation, support while over seas.
They offer post placement support.
The Helping Hands Adoption Mediation Agency assist you during the following stages of your adoptin process:
Preparing your Dossier - Registering with HHAMA - Sending your dossier to Vietnam - Translating the dossier and lodging it with IAD in Vietnam - Referrals and acceptance of referrals - Travelling to Vietnam - The Giving and Receiving Ceremony - Obtaining a passport for the child - Returning home and Registering your child on the Foreign Adoption Registrar - Notifying the Social Worker and Public Health Nurse.
